Lou Lou Lou’s Baby boutique opened in downtown Toronto in September and was named the first boutique in the city to open since the Downtown Eastside opened in 2015.
It was officially the first business in the province to open in downtown Ontario since the GTA’s Downtown Eastwood opened in 2009.
“It’s been an amazing experience, I’ve been here a year,” said Lou Lou, who opened the boutique at 911 Queen St. in downtown Vancouver.
“I’m very proud of what we’ve done and it’s been a huge success.”

(Facebook)The shop has been a big hit.
“When we opened it was a lot of fun, it was fun to have a bunch of new people in the space,” said owner and founder Linda Gorman.
“The first couple months we sold out every single day, we sold 3,000 boxes.
We just kept on selling.
It’s been awesome to see so many people come here.”
Lou’s first opening was at the Vancouver Art Gallery, which has been the most successful for Lou Lou and the boutique has also been featured on CBC Radio One’s Morning Show.
“It’s great to have the first outlet to the people in my city,” Gorman said.
“That’s great for me personally because I know the people and I know what I do.”
Lou said Lou’s is now expanding to other parts of Canada.
Lou Lou said the shop is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Lou’s also has an online store, where customers can buy clothing and accessories, as well as makeup, baby gear and jewelry.
