Zoe Bellsdas is an American painter, artist and author who, for the past 25 years, has been in residence at the Lulu Art Gallery in Los Angeles, California.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Bellsdams family moved to Los Angeles in 1988 and moved to the city in 1999.
She started painting in 2007 and since then has exhibited and sold works in various galleries, including Lulu.
In 2015, Bells mother, who is currently pregnant, announced Bellsdamas pregnancy with her husband, Michael Bellsdam, an acclaimed artist who has been an avid collector of art.
“It’s like my mother is still here,” Bellsdoms mother, Amy Bellsdamm, told Newsweek in an interview.
“She’s just always looking out for me.
I just feel like this is something that will be my life.”
The couple, who have three children, are expecting their first child, a daughter, in January.
Bellsdamias art and fashion collections have won her many accolades, including being featured on the cover of the February 2018 issue of Vanity Fair.
She has also worked as an advisor for fashion designers such as Stella McCartney and Donna Karan.
As a painter, Bellsa has been a patron of the Lula Gallery, a non-profit organization which promotes and maintains art galleries and exhibitions in the Los Angeles area.
“I was very excited when I was told that Zoe Bellsa would be joining Lulu,” said Lulu co-founder and curator Stephanie Gaffney, a longtime Lulu fan.
“Zoe Bellsdass has done something that she’s very proud of and we’re excited to welcome her to the gallery.”
The exhibition is entitled “Lulu,” and features Bellsdasa’s work as well as photographs and text from Bellsdamus art.
The exhibition opens at Lulu on Wednesday, May 20, 2019 at 9 a.m.
Tickets are $55 for members, $25 for the general public.
